Uruguay’s total trade with the United States was $229.03 million in March, a change of -23.38 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was -30.24 percent and the change in imports was -6.03 percent. Uruguay ranked No. 81 among U.S. trade partners in March. It had ranked No. 75 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. exports by value in March were Gasoline, other fuels, (2) Cell phones, related equipment, and (3) Medicines in individual dosages. The top three U.S. imports from Uruguay, also by value, were Frozen beef, (2) Fats from cow, sheep or goat, and (3) Beef, fresh or chilled. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Petroleum products, (2) Gasoline, other fuels, and (3) Hydroxide or peroxide. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Fats from cow, sheep or goat, (2) Wood pulp, not dissolving grade, and (3) Plywood, veneered and laminated wood.
