Vietnam’s total trade with the United States was $10.95 billion in March, a change of 19.82 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 7.64 percent and the change in imports was 21.18 percent. Vietnam ranked No. 10 among U.S. trade partners in March. It had ranked No. 11 for the same month last year.
The top three U.S. exports by value in March were Cotton, (2) Computer chips, and (3) Cell phones, related equipment. The top three U.S. imports from Vietnam, also by value, were Computers, (2) Cell phones, related equipment, and (3) Solar panels, etc.. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Sugar and starch residues, (2) Paper, paperboard scrap, and (3) Coal, briquettes. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Portland, aluminous and slag cement, (2) Furniture, parts, and (3) Solar panels, etc..
