Latvia’s total trade with the United States was $101.83 million in March, a change of 22.79 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 34.42 percent and the change in imports was 17.08 percent. Latvia ranked No. 100 among U.S. trade partners in March. It had ranked No. 103 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. exports by value in March were Cell phones, related equipment, (2) Civilian aircraft, parts, and (3) Rum, gin, vodka, other liquors. The top three U.S. imports from Latvia, also by value, were Rum, gin, vodka, other liquors, (2) Sawed, chipped wood >6MM thick, and (3) Particle board. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Plastics, (2) Chicken and other poultry, and (3) Rum, gin, vodka, other liquors. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Particle board, (2) Sawed, chipped wood >6MM thick, and (3) Peat.
