Belize’s total trade with the United States was $57.46 million in March, a change of 18.46 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 12.34 percent and the change in imports was 170.49 percent. Belize ranked No. 110 among U.S. trade partners in March. It had ranked No. 116 for the same month last year.
The top three U.S. exports by value in March were Aircraft engines, parts, (2) Gasoline, other fuels, and (3) Low-value shipments. The top three U.S. imports from Belize, also by value, were Molasses from sugar, (2) Pearls, natural, cultured, individual, and (3) Mussels, scallops, other mollusks. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Gasoline, other fuels, (2) LNG, other petroleum gases, and (3) Sawed, chipped wood >6MM thick. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Molasses from sugar, (2) Bananas and plantains, and (3) Returned exports, without change.
