  • John F. Kennedy International Airport fell 17.98 percent compared to last year to $987,995.
  • Port of Long Beach rose 25.72 percent compared to last year to $909,929.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign sources:

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 China decreased $2.35 million, 25.59 percent, (44.57 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 India decreased $123,051, 4.91 percent, (15.59 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 Italy increased $61,716, 2.73 percent, (15.18 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 France increased $103,276, 7.08 percent, (10.21 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 Vietnam increased $284,362, 42.03 percent, (6.28 percent market share).

All totaled, 91.82 percent of all these Handkerchiefs imports to the United States were shipped from the top five sources through August of this year. That is equal to $14.05 million of the $15.3 million total.
