    Las Vegas land-based cargo’s top five imports accounted for 92.26 percent of all its imports through August. By way of comparison, the United States’ top five imports accounted for 22.9 percent.

    Here’s a closer look at the top five, by value:

    • Cigars, cigarettes rose 32.56 percent compared to last year to $8.73 million.
    • Returned exports, without change fell 49.88 percent compared to last year to $627,666.
    • Passenger vehicles fell 1.39 percent compared to last year to $208,000.
    • Tequila, other liquors fell 42.23 percent compared to last year to $207,646.
    • Buses, etc. rose 722.73 percent compared to last year to $181,000.
