In the last previous full year, the leading sources were No. 1 China, No. 2 Indonesia, No. 3 Taiwan, No. 4 The Netherlands and No. 5 Mexico. The leading sources were No. 1 Port of Newark, No. 2 Port of Los Angeles, No. 3 Port of Houston, No. 4 John F. Kennedy International Airport and No. 5 Port of Virginia.

  • Port of Oakland, CA rose 1417 percent compared to last year to $17.58 million.
  • Port of Virginia rose 60.7 percent compared to last year to $12.84 million.
  • Port of Long Beach rose 84.95 percent compared to last year to $11.12 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign sources:

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 Vietnam increased $60.28 million, 58224 percent, (31.67 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 China increased $2.41 million, 5.27 percent, (25.29 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 The Netherlands increased $3.21 million, 26.14 percent, (8.13 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 Spain increased $3.11 million, 52.82 percent, (4.72 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 Mexico decreased $3.22 million, 26.62 percent, (4.65 percent market share).

All totaled, 74.46 percent of all these Vending machines, automatic goods imports to the United States were shipped from the top five sources through August of this year. That is equal to $141.96 million of the $190.65 million total.
