  • Port of Charleston fell 15.41 percent compared to last year to $437.64 million.
  • Port of Houston fell 4.92 percent compared to last year to $376.33 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign sources:

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 Mexico decreased $31.72 million, 1.7 percent, (21.29 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 China decreased $159.71 million, 11.98 percent, (13.6 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 Germany increased $2.78 million, 0.29 percent, (11.21 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 Japan increased $30.71 million, 3.43 percent, (10.73 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 Canada decreased $14.82 million, 2.06 percent, (8.18 percent market share).
