The leading gateways were No. 1 Port of Virginia, No. 2 Port of New Orleans, No. 3 Chicago O’Hare International Airport, No. 4 Port of Newark and No. 5 John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Highlights for the top five foreign markets:
- U.S. imports from No. 1 Denmark increased $7.62 million, 11.77 percent, (27.26 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 2 Japan decreased $2.86 million, 10.71 percent, (8.98 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 3 Lithuania decreased $31.3 million, 59.15 percent, (8.14 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 4 China increased $4.54 million, 27.77 percent, (7.87 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 5 Finland increased $1.89 million, 14.72 percent, (5.54 percent market share).
All totaled, 57.79 percent of all these Enzymes imports to the United States were shipped from the top five markets through March of this year. That is equal to $153.39 million of the $265.42 million total.
