  • Port of Virginia fell 34.42 percent compared to last year to $4 million.
  • Port of Savannah, GA fell 23.56 percent compared to last year to $3.1 million.
  • Port of Los Angeles rose 24.3 percent compared to last year to $2.8 million.
  • Port of Charleston fell 14.29 percent compared to last year to $1.7 million.

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 India increased $203,341, 1.03 percent, (70.14 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 Bangladesh decreased $500,617, 10.14 percent, (15.63 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 China increased $259,481, 12.07 percent, (8.49 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 Belgium increased $23,261, 8 percent, (1.11 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 Sri Lanka increased $38,813, 15.22 percent, (1.04 percent market share).

All totaled, 96.4 percent of all these Woven jute fabrics imports to the United States were shipped from the top five sources through August of this year. That is equal to $27.35 million of the $28.37 million total.
