  • Port of Charleston rose 18.15 percent compared to last year to $274.7 million.
  • Port of Savannah, GA rose 21 percent compared to last year to $242.56 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign sources:

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 South Korea decreased $32.47 million, 5.47 percent, (19.53 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 Mexico decreased $25.62 million, 6.91 percent, (12.02 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 Taiwan decreased $23.03 million, 7.05 percent, (10.58 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 Canada decreased $31.32 million, 10.17 percent, (9.64 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 Germany decreased $45.17 million, 17.87 percent, (7.23 percent market share).
