  • Dallas Fort Worth International Airport rose 28.51 percent compared to last year to $32.1 million.
  • FedEx Memphis WorldHub rose 98.82 percent compared to last year to $14.48 million.
  • San Francisco International Airport, CA fell 35.44 percent compared to last year to $4.36 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign sources:

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 Germany decreased $4.25 million, 7.43 percent, (34 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 Taiwan increased $16.91 million, 51.67 percent, (31.9 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 Japan decreased $4.47 million, 13.44 percent, (18.52 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 South Korea increased $7.74 million, 93.34 percent, (10.3 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 United Kingdom increased $428,438, 17.21 percent, (1.88 percent market share).

All totaled, 96.6 percent of all these Photo plates, film, developed imports to the United States were shipped from the top five sources through August of this year. That is equal to $150.33 million of the $155.63 million total.
