  • John F. Kennedy International Airport rose 96.86 percent compared to last year to $3.09 million.
  • Philadelphia International Airport fell 36.48 percent compared to last year to $3.09 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign sources:

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 Portugal decreased $3.48 million, 13.28 percent, (67.48 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 Ukraine increased $524,967, 17.19 percent, (10.63 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 Belgium increased $2.47 million, 18651 percent, (7.39 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 Bolivia decreased $440,940, 18.65 percent, (5.71 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 Czech Republic decreased $680,109, 40.1 percent, (3.02 percent market share).

All totaled, 94.23 percent of all these Hat forms, hat bodies, hoods of felt imports to the United States were shipped from the top five sources through August of this year. That is equal to $31.73 million of the $33.67 million total.
