Highlights for the top five foreign sources:
- U.S. imports from No. 1 Cote D'Ivoire increased $217.38 million, 93.02 percent, (44.84 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 2 Ghana increased $132.16 million, 513.37 percent, (15.7 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 3 Ecuador increased $100.56 million, 254.21 percent, (13.93 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 4 Cameroon increased $78.04 million, 282.79 percent, (10.5 percent market share).
- U.S. imports from No. 5 Canada increased $7.82 million, 21.26 percent, (4.43 percent market share).
All totaled, 89.4 percent of all these Cocoa paste imports to the United States were shipped from the top five sources through August of this year. That is equal to $899.33 million of the $1.01 billion total.
