In the last previous full year, the leading sources were No. 1 South Korea, No. 2 The Netherlands, No. 3 Germany, No. 4 Italy and No. 5 Malaysia.   • Port of Los Angeles fell 28.48 percent compared to last year to $2.97 million.
  • Port Huron Blue Water Bridge, MI rose 39.07 percent compared to last year to $1.83 million.
  • Port of Virginia fell 37.27 percent compared to last year to $1.45 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign sources:

  • U.S. imports from No. 1 Germany increased $4.57 million, 134.32 percent, (32.91 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 2 Italy increased $1.31 million, 49.83 percent, (16.23 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 3 South Korea decreased $1.09 million, 22.47 percent, (15.46 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 4 The Netherlands decreased $668,231, 15.62 percent, (14.91 percent market share).
  • U.S. imports from No. 5 Malaysia decreased $1.08 million, 52.63 percent, (4.02 percent market share).

All totaled, 83.54 percent of all these Carbon paper imports to the United States were shipped from the top five sources through August of this year. That is equal to $20.23 million of the $24.21 million total.
