  • Cleveland's Hopkins International Airport, OH rose 106.81 percent compared to last year to $5.98 million.
  • Port of Chester, PA fell 11.76 percent compared to last year to $4.98 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign markets:

  • U.S. export to No. 1 Canada decreased $2.03 million, 18.16 percent, (15.15 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 2 Brazil increased $822,063, 11.82 percent, (12.86 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 3 The Netherlands decreased $298,972, 4.04 percent, (11.74 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 4 Ireland increased $3.05 million, 213.22 percent, (7.41 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 5 Germany decreased $847,573, 16.03 percent, (7.34 percent market share).

All totaled, 54.5 percent of all these Miscellaneous organic compounds exports from the United States were shipped to the top five markets through August of this year. That is equal to $32.96 million of the $60.47 million total.
