U.S. exports of Fresh-cut flowers decreased 4.00 percent through August to $14.37 million

  • Port Everglades rose 277.04 percent compared to last year to $236,481.
  • Champlain Border Crossing, NY fell 66.57 percent compared to last year to $187,634.

Highlights for the top five foreign markets:

  • U.S. export to No. 1 Canada decreased $527,376, 3.8 percent, (92.9 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 2 Japan increased $112,983, 96.16 percent, (1.6 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 3 Mexico decreased $145,707, 39.72 percent, (1.54 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 4 Bahamas increased $94,820, 210.16 percent, (0.97 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 5 France increased $79,512, 536.34 percent, (0.66 percent market share).

All totaled, 97.67 percent of all these Fresh-cut flowers exports from the United States were shipped to the top five markets through August of this year. That is equal to $14.04 million of the $14.37 million total.
