U.S. exports of Apricots, cherries, peaches, plums decreased 3.39 percent through August to $647.52 million

  • Los Angeles International Airport fell 24.56 percent compared to last year to $70.7 million.
  • Blaine / Surrey Border Crossing, WA fell 9.61 percent compared to last year to $35.2 million.

There are several hundred airports, seaports and border crossings that handle international trade; they are, in turn, part of the roughly four dozen U.S. Customs districts.

Highlights for the top five foreign markets:

  • U.S. export to No. 1 Canada decreased $48.16 million, 18.99 percent, (31.72 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 2 Taiwan increased $33.85 million, 45.04 percent, (16.83 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 3 South Korea decreased $10.61 million, 10.68 percent, (13.69 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 4 Mexico increased $5.58 million, 9.73 percent, (9.73 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 5 Japan increased $7.94 million, 25.16 percent, (6.1 percent market share).

All totaled, 78.07 percent of all these Apricots, cherries, peaches, plums exports from the United States were shipped to the top five markets through August of this year. That is equal to $505.52 million of the $647.52 million total.
