  • Port of Houston rose 35.36 percent compared to last year to $19.47 million.
  • Port of New York fell 3.95 percent compared to last year to $14.83 million.
  • Port of Los Angeles fell 29.78 percent compared to last year to $11.03 million.
  • Low-Value border crossing cargo rose 34.98 percent compared to last year to $10.74 million.

Highlights for the top five foreign markets:

  • U.S. export to No. 1 Mexico decreased $6.03 million, 12.3 percent, (25.47 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 2 Canada increased $5.07 million, 17.66 percent, (20.02 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 3 Saudi Arabia increased $4.82 million, 55.36 percent, (8.02 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 4 Qatar increased $11.59 million, 1289 percent, (7.4 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 5 Taiwan increased $3.14 million, 100.38 percent, (3.72 percent market share).

All totaled, 64.63 percent of all these Organic solvents, thinners exports from the United States were shipped to the top five markets through August of this year. That is equal to $109.08 million of the $168.77 million total.
