U.S. exports of Lignite decreased 26.24 percent through August to $3.7 million

  • Blaine / Surrey Border Crossing, WA rose 128.29 percent compared to last year to $188,954.

  • U.S. export to No. 3 Spain decreased $42,586, 9.51 percent, (10.94 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 4 Vietnam increased $123,328, 153.18 percent, (5.5 percent market share).
  • U.S. export to No. 5 Norway increased $193,600, 0 percent, (5.23 percent market share).

All totaled, 74.47 percent of all these Lignite exports from the United States were shipped to the top five markets through August of this year. That is equal to $2.76 million of the $3.7 million total.
