Senegal’s total trade with the United States was $53.77 million in February, a change of 47.31 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 6.67 percent and the change in imports was 121.77 percent. Senegal ranked No. 111 among U.S. trade partners in February. It had ranked No. 117 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. exports by value in February were Passenger vehicles, (2) Rice, and (3) Plastics. The top three U.S. imports from Senegal, also by value, were Misc. mineral or chemical fertilizers, (2) Caviar, caviar substitutes, other prepared fish, and (3) Wigs, other products, from human hair. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Rice, (2) Plastics, and (3) Passenger vehicles. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Misc. mineral or chemical fertilizers, (2) Caviar, caviar substitutes, other prepared fish, and (3) Wigs, other products, from human hair.
