Rwanda’s total trade with the United States was $5.63 million in January, a change of -47.90 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 60.27 percent and the change in imports was -59.09 percent. Rwanda ranked No. 170 among U.S. trade partners in January. It had ranked No. 161 for the same month last year.
The top three U.S. exports by value in January were Cranes, derricks, industrial-use vehicles, (2) Chicken and other poultry, and (3) Civilian aircraft, parts. The top three U.S. imports from Rwanda, also by value, were Coffee, (2) Vegetable extracts, pectates, agar, etc., and (3) Handbags, wallets. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Chicken and other poultry, (2) Gasoline, other fuels, and (3) Sauces and mixed condiments. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Coffee, (2) Handbags, wallets, and (3) Vegetable extracts, pectates, agar, etc..
