Qatar’s total trade with the United States was $453.74 million in January, a change of -28.84 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was -17.79 percent and the change in imports was -45.67 percent. Qatar ranked No. 66 among U.S. trade partners in January. It had ranked No. 57 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. exports by value in January were Jewelry, parts, (2) Civilian aircraft, parts, and (3) Bombs, grenades, cartridges, parts. The top three U.S. imports from Qatar, also by value, were Gasoline, other fuels, (2) Nitrogenous fertilizers, and (3) Aluminum, unwrought. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Chicken and other poultry, (2) Polymers of vinyl chloride, and (3) Soybean oilcake. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Nitrogenous fertilizers, (2) Gasoline, other fuels, and (3) Aluminum, unwrought.
