Malta’s total trade with the United States was $35.7 million in February, a change of 22.70 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 94.89 percent and the change in imports was -22.35 percent. Malta ranked No. 120 among U.S. trade partners in February. It had ranked No. 123 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. exports by value in February were Civilian aircraft, parts, (2) TVs, computer monitors, and (3) Misc. aircraft parts. The top three U.S. imports from Malta, also by value, were Computer chips, (2) Medicines in individual dosages, and (3) Electrical supplies <1000V. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, etc., (2) Sawed, chipped wood >6MM thick, and (3) Acrylic polymers. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Pile fabrics, knitted or crocheted, (2) Misc. plastic plates, sheets and film, and (3) Electrical supplies <1000V.
