The change in exports was 23.20 percent and the change in imports was -9.42 percent. Malaysia ranked No. 19 among U.S. trade partners in January. It had ranked No. 20 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. imports from Malaysia, also by value, were Computer chips, (2) Cell phones, related equipment, and (3) Solar panels, etc.. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Paper, paperboard scrap, (2) Coal, briquettes, and (3) Oil. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Solar panels, etc., (2) Furniture, parts, and (3) Ferroalloys.
