Iceland’s total trade with the United States was $151.04 million in January, a change of 103.07 percent from the same month one year ago. The change in exports was 433.46 percent and the change in imports was 6.28 percent. Iceland ranked No. 88 among U.S. trade partners in January. It had ranked No. 99 for the same month last year.

The top three U.S. exports by value in January were Computers, (2) Low-value shipments, and (3) Returned exports, without change. The top three U.S. imports from Iceland, also by value, were Fish fillets, chilled or frozen, (2) Artificial knees, hips, etc., and (3) Fish, fresh or chilled. By tonnage, the top three U.S. exports were (1) Sauces and mixed condiments, (2) Tomatoes, prepared or preserved, and (3) Corn. The top three U.S. imports, also by tonnage, were (1) Natural waters, (2) Waste from iron, steel manufacturing, and (3) Fish fillets, chilled or frozen.
